Default Family Outing

Hello, I am new to the forums and i'm not on my home pc at the moment so don't have all the exif info for this picture but I was so eager to post something of my own I just decided to do it from work.

This photo was taken about 7am in the morning, little place called pinelake holiday resort located in South Africa.
Not edited only resized.


what could i have done to make this picture better ?

you could use a Polariser filter to cut the glare off the water.. your camera is metering of the bright water making everything else look dark ..

Default tripod??

good idea to use one when you can. you can virtually eliminate the blur. I know, i know, there's image stabilization but i'm not sold on it. i'm kinda old school.
