Default Autumn in Central Ohio

11-13-07 Maple Roots
I loved the look of this old Maple's roots. It was very overcast, so no sunlight. Almost dusk. I edited the lighting and contrast in Photo Explosion. Any comments or criticisms welcome.

I like this one. Nice colors. Not too bright. Not too dark. Nice composition.

Me too. Good work!

Looks like the roots are reaching out.

I think you did a excellent job with this picture. Kinda makes me miss living in SW Ohio, we had a big yard with multitudes of Maple tree's.

Thinking................................

Raking all those leaves, shoveling snow, 46 degrees and misty rain right now.

Here: 79 degrees and sunny. No raking or shoveling, 4 miles to the beach.

Great shot, but I don't miss Ohio anymore!

Nice composition all the way around. Wonderful colors, not too overwhelming. The roots take your eyes to different parts of the pipcture. all in all, well done!

Thank you all for your thoughts. Oh, BTW Wood, I used to live in Florida. Right outside of Ft. Lauderdale. The thing I like best about Ohio, is that I can ski on water or snow, without keeping an eye peeled for "gators"' LOL Both places are beautiful, with so many opportunities for amazing pictures. Thanks for viewing mine. Not exactly amazing, but I'm working on it.

Hey jdepould,
It's a small world. It's nice to meet another Ohioan, interested in improving our photographic abilities. If you get the chance, check out my Flickr page, it's under FocalFrenzy also. I would appreciate hearing your opinion on some of the shots I've taken. Thank you for your comments.
