Default Is it possible to get nice shots of the meteor shower?

Is it possible to get nice shots of the meteor shower? with my equipment? any tips or is it just not possible ?

are you using the XTI or the 30d? Not quite clear what you're using now since some of it is sold.

If it's any comfort, I'm using the Nikon D40x, the competitions near equal, and just playing around with the bulb setting in manual mode I'm getting some very nice star shots, even without really trying yet. I would imagine if you get a nice clear spot in the sky, without lots of lights, and are willing to let the bulb sit for a bit, you should be able to get some shots.

Looks like I'm going to have to get outside myself this weekend and find out on my own. Thanks for the reminder that the showers are this weekend or I would have completely missed it.
