Default Looked for some fall colors

I went on a mission this weekend looking for some vivid fall colors, but the leaves are not changing as quickly as usual. I was not disappointed though, I got some great shots, while experimenting in Manual, which is a leap for me.

This is my favorite of the weekend.

Great catch! It's been late up north too in terms of fall foliage, and sadly we're kind of skipping right over it here in Chicago. It was warm much longer than usual, and it sort of jumped to cold, so the trees are simultaneously changing colors and losing their leaves, instead of giving us some time to enjoy those colors. Good to see that you had some luck finding fall colors!

amazing colors body shot itself is so so... composition is very centered, and getting closer to subject helps sometimes

Default Wow!

I love the colours! I"m so jealous - at the moment here in Australia its heading into summer. Where I am, everything is already turning brown and disgusting.

Maybe you could bump up the saturation a bit more? I do like the composition a lot! Congrats.

How about cropping it? At the moment, the leaf is relatively small and the shadow on the log is a bit distracting, breaking it into top and bottom areas. Below is a possible crop, preserving the existing frame ratio, with a bit of work done on colour and sharpness as well.

Sorry guys, I didn't want to touch or retouch it, per se. I like it as it is, and that's something that does not happen often.

I like it alot. I think the shadows both above and below the leaf are a very coolie part of the shot.
