I agree with Digidave and would like to add that I like the mood of the picture. It says: tranquility..
I love tranquility |

I was in a hurry when I commented on your shot. I always like to leave critiques on a good note. We all are in need of some refinement. When we have perfected our craft, then it is time to move on to a new one.

I actually don't mind the blown-out sun as much. It actually creates a line, in a way; the blown-out sun catches your eye, and you follow the light as it darkens, and it leads you right across the trees...
If it could've been just a little less, so that the branches didn't vanish into it, that would definitely have been better. But blocking the sun too much behind a tree, I think would almost ruin the effect I mention. Granted, that's definitely a personal preference rather than anything else!

I just love the drama provided by the contrast in lighting.
It's a style, I have always admired. Dunno, if RainPacket's comments on the branches vanishing can still be retrieved in post processing coz that would really make the image more powerful. |
