Hey Everyone,

Was off to Dublin last weekend and took this picture on way back from the Zoo.

Your comments are much appreciated.

Thanks very much

It would be a very nice picture except, the right side is a little blown out & the left side has that spot of glare from the sun on your lens. Next time try to get in a position where the sun is blocked by one of the trees. Appears to be about 10-15 feet to your right. Then you would have a true silhouette of the trees. I have to say though that I've taken a lot worse in my time.

I agree with Digidave and would like to add that I like the mood of the picture. It says: tranquility..

I love tranquility

Absolutely!!!! I meant to say that also, REALLY!!! I was in a hurry when I commented on your shot. I always like to leave critiques on a good note. We all are in need of some refinement. When we have perfected our craft, then it is time to move on to a new one.

I actually don't mind the blown-out sun as much. It actually creates a line, in a way; the blown-out sun catches your eye, and you follow the light as it darkens, and it leads you right across the trees...

If it could've been just a little less, so that the branches didn't vanish into it, that would definitely have been better. But blocking the sun too much behind a tree, I think would almost ruin the effect I mention.

Granted, that's definitely a personal preference rather than anything else!

I just love the drama provided by the contrast in lighting.
It's a style, I have always admired.
Dunno, if RainPacket's comments on the branches vanishing can still be retrieved in post processing coz that would really make the image more powerful.
