Default The Perseids are Here, How to best capture them.

Well today is August 12 and today is believed to be one of the best days for viewing the Perceids(In case u dont know google it, its a huge meteor shower, believed to be at its peak around this time of the year) Illd love to watch it tonight and get it on tape. So please I need advise on how best to get pictures of these beauties. Illd recommed you join and take pictures too and lets share it afterwards in this thread.

Set your camera to Bulb setting.

A wide aperture (f2.8 or f3.5)

ISO 100

Manual focus on a distant object

Tripod of course

And lots of luck

If you've got cable or remote release, that's a good thing as well

Wow, I tried this and failed miserably. I even bumped up to 1600 ISO and had one streak right in front of my lens and it didn't even show up?!?! Most of my shots were 400 ISO @ f3.5 for 2 minutes. I had several go in my shot, but did not see them when I downloaded them from my memory card. SIGH.
