Default Entry To Fall

Hi everyone, this is my first post and my first SLR. I have loved photography for many years and seemed to keep going through camera every 3 years so finally made the investment and got my dream camera...Cannon 40D.

I'M LEARNING AND LEARNING every time I pick up the camera. I love to see all your pictures and all your advice. I enjoying taking pictures of landscape, people in there element and my daughter.

Here is a picture I took this past weekend. I've played with the picture/color a bit but wanted to share...anyways. But I guess it's not to bad for playing around?

Let me know if you got any tips for a newbie!

Hi Stina, welcome to DPS!
I think you did a pretty good job on your picture. I like the sun shining through the trees on the path and the laciness of the leaves.
A few questions: What time of day did you take this? Do you know what your camera settings were?

I like how you shot this. The path leads the viewer to where ever thier imagination takes them. So in other words, great composition.
The lighting seems a bit harsh to me tho as it seems to have drawn some of the colors out of the foilage. When did you take it?

Thanks a bunch for the feedback! I took the picture about 1:00-1:30 in the afternoon. BUT I have also played with the colors a bit. I agree, maybe make them a bit lighter so its not as harsh. I will have to check what settings I took it with.

Again thanks...
