Interesting effect. It looks really nice with the elk being in an unsaturated surrounding, but to me, the green plants in the background distract from this a little. This might look pretty cool too with a little added grain to give an old film type of look.

Nice capture! How cool that you were able to get a shot of this. I'm not too sure about the selective coloring. The green takes your eye away from your main subject and becomes the secondary subject instead of the rest of the herd. I think it would look better if you removed the green.

Its easy to overdo a really neat effect and I am certainly very guilty of that one. So with that said, I do also think the green is a bit too much

I am pretty much in agreement with others above. I especially like the border effect and the selective color of the Elk is very well done.

At first blush, the green looks good, but there is a distraction of the main subject (the colored Elk) and the secondary subject (the herd.)
