Hi all,
I shoot landscape, architecture and portraits and plan to upgrade my equipment in phases. I have Canon 400 D and plan to buy a Canon 70-200 f 2.8L IS lens. Does this lens works well with this body as I wish to buy 5D on a later date. |

If you're planning on moving forward to a 5D, all you need to avoid are EF-S lenses. All the EF lenses work fine (if possibly not at their very best) on crop bodies, and in fact some may perform better on a crop body than on full frame, since corner performance is "boosted" by the crop: most lenses have an image circle that's best at the center, and weaker towards the edges. A crop sensor ignores the edges.
