What caused the green spot? don't want to do that again...was it the whiteboard setting? How did you do that?

White board? Are you sure you don't mean White balance? The correct white balance for twilight/night shots is Tungsten/Incandescent,but sometimes fluorescent gives a nice effect. regards, Ken

Blink,

Likely the green spot is a reflection of the moon in your lens between coated surfaces, or between a filter and the front lens. Try viewing the moon again and look for the same spot - especially a full moon. Same as a Sun flare/spot.

Duh!!! My day consisted of tearing out 3 Yucca plants, digging up a 10' x 12' plot, tearing out grass and weeds, grooming the soil and replanting with roses, lavender and columbine...then I mowed behind the house...took me hours....THEN....a family dinner with the kids and 4 grandkids...I was whipped! Then I saw the moon on the rise and in my delirium thought it was a perfect sight to try and shoot...did I say I was tired and delirious?

Thanks for the help you 2! Yeah...I meant white balance, geez...feel better after some sleep! Today I am driving up to the lake to see if the wildflowers are in bloom higher up...they are incredible down here in Boulder!

I'm just a beginner with a wonderful camera, trying to find my way...and can use all the help I can get. Seeing the pics w/settings really help me!
