There are a lot of cool places in Colorado for taking pics. One of my favorites is west of Denver at Red Rocks (amphitheater). Very cool landscape. Here are a couple (overdone) HDR processed samples from my recent business trip taken with my little Canon Powershot...
![]() ![]() ![]() Google "Red Rocks, Morrison, CO"...easy to find, and plenty of places to shoot! Have a great trip!

There is lots to shoot in Boulder itself. Denver is about 40 minutes to the east and Colorado Springs is about 2 hours to the south. From Boulder you can go up to Nederland and Rollinsville and get some good landscape stuff. As was mentioned you can head over Hwy 93 and get to Morrison and Red Rocks. Tons to shoot there. If you want, when you get closer to your trip time shoot me a PM and I would be hapy to shoot with you and show you some spots. I *should* be free.

and dizzle, if you could shoot with me and or watnot, that would be great. be cool to shoot with someone who knows that area and everything. |

The Flat Irons above Boulder. Going up Boulder Canyon you may want to shoot Boulder Falls. If you go up the Peak to Peak out of Nederland going towards Estes Park you can get a pic of the mountains of the Continental Divide...then there's Estes...all the elk are in town. There is also a stone church, St Malo's which is very beautiful....Brainard Lake is where I'm going tomorrow, also off the Peak to Peak....Boulder Creek is very beautiful as well...so much to see...I need more time off of work!
Almost forgot! The Farmers market downtown Boulder on Saturday mornings....there is all kinds of stuff to shoot around here! Last edited by Blink; 06-08-2009 at 03:49 AM. |
