Hi... I have a simple digital camera (Casio Exilim) and love to pic my flowers. I have some gorgeous purple and white iris which come out blue in all pics. I have not tried the fancy photoshop etc techniques (I'm new to it all) but it would be nice to have the pics turn out PURPLE. Any ideas?

SOunds like a white balance issue. Check the camera to see if a custom or altered white balance has been selected.
Failing that, there are ways you can correct it in Post.

I agree that it's probably a white balance problem -- check and see if you have something set weirdly. But if you don't, it may be that your camera does poorly in certain lighting situations (for example, flourescent lights trick a lot of point-and-shoots). You might try moving the flowers to different lights, if you can.
To alter in post-processing, you can attempt to select just the flowers (using a selection tool, or a "select similar colors" tool), and then use the Hue-Saturation adjustment to change the hue slightly. That will give you different colors -- may not look great, but it may help too.
