How does one go about getting a good shot of an all white flower such as a large magnolia? If I adjust the WB I get either a bluish or orangish magnolia and if I change the exposure I get greyish ... if I leave it like is it looks overexposed. I am have a really tough time with magnolias
![]() I am in the deep south and we have some beautiful magnolias but my photos just are not coming out right! I know I can go macro and get the green centers but that's not the look I am trying to go for... I am trying to get the petals in as well. Here is an example of one of my photos that didn't turn out so hot: ![]() I tried edits and when I try and change something I lose the white color BUT the white looks really overexposed Thanks for any suggestions!

I don't feel that Magnolias are pure white, they are more off-white. Have you attempted with the camera choosing the WB and seeing how that looks?
