Default White in a Rainbow

White in a Rainbow

This is one I took the other day when I was out with my son Berry picking... Actually he was eating the berries and I was taking photographs.

Let me know what you think...

Mappleby -- I like the idea of the stark white branches in the colored leaves. I think after looking at your photo that this is already a crop? If so, it might be hard to crop more at high quality, but here is what I suggest. Crop in tighter on the white branches to give a more defined subject, then boost the saturation to make the fall colors pop.

I did both of the above to the attached picture (low quality, might be hard to see -- darn size restrictions). I also added a little more blue to your sky with a simple blue gradient layer at 40% opacity and added a high pass filter at 50% for sharpening because all the cropping is starting to show. Hope you don't mind! (Let me know if you do).

Glorious fall colours, looks like the someone has splashed colours from the pallette on nature. The white bush is such a stark contrast, but it somehow needs to be more prominent. I am not sure if opening your aperture to keep it sharp and bright and reducing the sharpness of the background will help. I also like the close crop suggestion of newbie, but I like the original colours better.

Only one thread should be started for a given picture - I've merged the two together and removed duplicate posts. It just gets confusing if people are asked to comment on the same picture in two places.
