Red face Evening on a lake side

The Boat

What do you think about this picture? Though it was not taken from a great camera (SONY Mavica CD 200). I think it has come out well considering I had no tripod for a longer exposure. Has it?

I think it's pretty good overall. However, there seems to be too much sky and too little lake and too little silhouttes of the boat and people. If there were some interesting clouds in the sky then this composition could work better. Another thing you could do is boost the saturation.

akshatrathi294,

The subtle colors are wonderful; the cutoff shadows of boat and boatman, not so good. Your photo can do without all that gray at the top, but it needs the shadows to be complete. Camera doesn't matter as much as framing in the camera does.
