Question Los Angeles - Location Advice

Hi folks,

I'm off to LA for a Microsoft conference next month and I will have a free day before it all starts. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the best place to get some good photos. I was thinking the beaches but I am not sure. I won't have a car or anything so will be stuck with walking or public transport. I am staying near the convention centre.

Cheers,
Stellar

You could go to the beach, but it is usually crowded this time of the year. Plus theres not much senery like there is in the UK. I would recrommend going to Anaheim, becausethere is a lot of neat arcutecture.

No idea if it's near the convention center, but the Bradbury Building (304 South Broadway) might be fun if you're into architecture. The interior continually gets used as a shooting location--it was in Bladerunner and more recently it was Chuck & Ned's apartments in Pushing Daisies.

Or, you could amuse yourself for by shooting Disney Hall.

The Red Line does most of the touristy stuff from what I can recall. It'll certainly get you to Hollywood to look at handprints in cement and the Hollywood sign if you want (Hollywood/Highland stop).

Anaheim's kind of hell-and-gone from downtown L.A.; the subway system alone won't be enough, probably have to take commuter trains as well.
