The rocks are very cool! I like the texture, and the contrast of their orange color with the sky. Speaking of which -- the sky is nice, but it's really not as interesting. I'd love to see it recomposed with more of the rocks and ground, and less of the sky -- maybe put the horizon 1/3 of the way from the top.

Hi n5kc. Did you take this in Texas? Beautiful area. Since you don't have a specific question, I'll address the composition.

I like the idea behind this shot, but there are two things I'd do differently. One is to change the horizon so it's not directly in the middle. It seems to split the image right in half. Taken from a little lower angle, the rock wouldn't be weighing down the bottom of the shot and the sky would take less of the picture. You might consider taking this in landscape orientation rather than portrait. That might give us a better feel for beauty of the whole area.

Of course, that's just MHO .
