Default Overexposed Sunset??

Sunset
Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/800)
Aperture: f/6.3
Focal Length: 500 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off
I am wondering if this is "too" bright. Also if the powerlines detract..

Thanks,

You might want to ask if this can be moved to critique. You have fulfilled all of the requirments and you will prob get more feedback there.

I'll critique you right here. Overall, it's nice, but I think it needs some work. The power lines do distract me, and the sun (it's hard not to "overexpose" the sun...) makes things a bit weird -- but I really like the shapes that the branches make.

When I took a photo along these lines, I ended up doing a lot of postprocessing and shifting the colors around, which at least distracted from the weird "overexposed sun" effect. You may or may not like the result, but it does change the photo significantly! (You can see it here.)

I think it may be fine if you push down the exposure. It appears that not just the sun, but even the trees are a bit overexposed.
