Default Not a nice day

This shot was taken at Eastbourne Wellington New Zealand. It was not a nice day so i thought i would go and see what i could shoot to show what sort of day it was. I played around with different things in PS. to try to bring out detail in the clouds, i ended up using a touch of orton. Do you think it works? is there another process i could try. I think i used a grad filter for this shot

Eastbourne

Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200)

Nice shot!
I like how the shore leads the eye to the dock.

It's a kind of "Calm before the Storm" type shot.

Thanks Austin
The day didn't get much worse, but it was a challenging day with the wind and dark clouds to find something to shoot.

Thanks ntinlizi
Wellington harbour can be a very dramatic place. The filters i use are cokin, the one i used here was a gradual grey ND8 p121 which is quite a dark grad filter.

Default Plastic vs. Glass

So instead of glass, you're going to put a piece of plastic infront of your lens?
