Default new to photography

Hi frenz,

I am a full time music lover and totally new to photography. I own a canon sd1000 for the past 1yr. I bought a nikon d60 for this xmas and started learning the gr8 skill.

I have been spending atleast an hour or 2 in this site and its really gr8. I am looking forward for your guidance and help.

Thanks
Harry

All I will say is.. go out there.. have fun with your camera.. don't worry about if you get good pictures or not.. just try to imagine what you want to capture and try different things.. then come back to the forums, read some tutorials and techniques that might help.. and try again..If that doesn't solve your doubts, then put them up on the forums or share your experiences.. I am sure this forums has a lot of people ready to help.. I learned a lot like that.. and am still learning.. I guess you did the same things when you were learning music.. Follow the same path..

Since you are already into music.. which is an art too.. my guess is you will catch up with it real fast..

And By the way.. Welcome to the forums

Hi Harry,

Ditto on everything Hulk said. Plus, don't be afraid to post shots and get honest and helpful critiques from the friendly folks here! I am brand new to photography as well and have been posting shots like crazy (while trying to stay withing the rules and regs. on number of post per day). I decided when I first joined not to be intimidated by the wonderful captures being shown here and only to learn from them while continuing to post my very amateur shots...Everyone here has been so helpful and encouraging. Can't wait to see your first capture posted!

Welcome,
Jayne
