The clone tool will do the job, but the "healing brush" is a man's best friend if you learn how to use it. That is what I used in the fix-up I did above and it took about 30 seconds to do.

Thank you 300busa, OsmosisStudios, xxpinballxx and RoyL.

I used the clone tool and experimented a little with all of your suggestions. I got the look that I am satisfied with.. I did amaze myself here.. However, I like the color version of the image better than the black and white because of the reflections of the sky on the building.. (Blue is one of my favourite colors.. lol)

Here's the final image.. let me know if you think the top left corner still looks cheesy..

Also, I was working with JPG file.. I was wondering how good the PP could have been if it was a RAW file.. i never shot anything in RAW because I was of the mindset that I need to PP and convert every file which is of-course a little work.. and I guess I was lazy..

I know that RAW files have more information stored and hence would be better. Would they be better even for simple things like color saturation, cloning etc too?

See, that wasn't so hard! With a little practice you will be able to use the history brush to get rid of the "blur" in the clouds in the corner. I did a little work to the image (hope that you don't mind) to eliminate the blur (by using the healing brush) and boosting the color (with a filter that I have installed).

Interesting.. what does the healing brush do? I have brushes on the toolbox on Elements 7 but don't know which one of them is the Healing brush..

Do you see a blur in my image? hmm.. I guess I am not that particular.. lol

I like the way you increased the color saturation of the picture.. But.. the building color looks a little odd to me because of the yellowish appearance.. otherwise.. looks great..

By the way.. what software do you use for PP?

rawHulk: Excellent work with that! I cant tell where the cloning was. Its often easier with random textures than anything else because you can fudge it alot more.

RAW helps with general stuff like exposure, colour, wb, etc, but does nothing for cloning. Thats just straight PS.

@OsmosisStudios - Thanks..

@300busa - I am using Photoshop elements 7. Its tool box has a brush with the Band-aid icon. But that's the Clone tool which I used. I guess Elements doesn't have any other healing brush..

Also.. 300busa.. your image with the high color saturation of blue is disturbing me a lot. Maybe I will try to add the blue color to the sky and leave the rest as it is. Let me see if I will surprise myself again..

The clone tool doesn't look like a rubber stamp? I have never used elements myself, so you may be right. I only did the high amount of blue because you had said that it was your favorite color. Just have fun and play around with all of the different tools, sometimes you do things on accident that turn out good or usefull another day.

Yep. This is the only way I can think to fix it. Or at least the most logical one.
