Default Family Of Geese and Sunset

I'm new to photography and landscapes and nature are my favorite things to photograph. I got lucky with these. There were 2 family of geese where I was and both of them crossed the sunset I was taking photos of. I really like the one of the baby geese if only the adult was poking his head forward but I can't complain. I'm a beginner so go ahead and critique me. I also photoshoped these so let me knwo if i did anything wrong.

I think I am more partial to the second one, there were a few little "bits" in the first that grabbed my eye and took it away from the duckies... lovely colors, nice subject (who can refuse a cute baby duck eh!) maybe a slightly tighter crop up from the bottom and maybr a bit off the top as well?.. hmm... no, nice duckies..

ok ok ok ducks geese... lol...

I notice the picture seems a little washed out, try using the curve tool in PS or equivalent software to help build some contrast up and add to the atmosphere.

I have included a quick and dirty example so its not perfect in any way :-)

Default Welcome

Welcome to DPS from another newbie... I agree that some adjustments need to be made with this pic, but I am not sure about those that were suggested. Definitely a tighter crop too... Keep up the good work!
