I didn't want to post this photo in critique, but I do have a question regarding it, so hopefully I can get some help here. I am trying my hand at some "landscape" photography because I'd like to have some of my own art printed for hanging in my home. I thought about having this photo printed rather large to hang in my son's room above his bed. The picture is not great. I had my ISO maxed. I ran neatimage on it, but I'm wondering how it will print. What do you think?
Thanks, Jen |

Hi and welcome to the Forums!
I personally would not print that one. I think a bit more practice and a tripod would prduce a much better image to print. The crescent moon really is blured and does not have a crisp edge. Blown up it would just get even worse. What are you shooting with? Search the forums here for threads on night shooting. I think the tripod is the most important thing here and then you can use a slower shutter speed and get a better image.

Shoot! Not what I wanted to hear, but then again, the moon is usually up there right? I'll have lots more opportunity to practice. I have a tripod and have been lugging it out with me, but I have not got used to using it religiously yet.
Thank you for your input. |
