Not sure why you "Need" a new lens based on this alone - both shots are very good.

I like both shots but I might have increased the exposure on the second shot just a little. It's a matter of taste. I like just a little detail in the rushing water. They are both very well exposed and composed. Nice work.

I would have to say i prefer the negative space of the second one. I imagine it is quite stunning large too if it is four shots put together. But you're right, a lens in the 10-20ish range is also on my list.

There is this disease you can catch if you borrow a lens, it's called lens-anightsis envy. What i like about this lens is that i can fit in one shot that took me 4 on my lens, also was the sharpness of detail in low light on a longer exposure, you notice it in the shot once it's blown it up. The last thing is the cost. Your thoughts on different types of lens for this type of photography and landscapes appreciated.

i like both shots. but i gotta agree with you, why create more pp work when you can get it with one shot, especially when it's a cleaner shot.
i know i'm often saying to myself... i wish i had a wider angel lense, i can't back up any farther. now i got... what did you call it... lens-anightsis envy
