I've just been given the chance of a lifetime to visit Yellowstone National Park in January. We will be outside for 3-4 days.

I've never been outside this long with my camera gear and I'm sure there are volumes on what I don't know about taking care of my gear while I'm outside and what new gear I might need.

Any tips, ideas, or recommended purchases would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to have a Circular Polarizer on your lens to cut down on glare from the snow. As far as tips go, see your other thread on winter care.
