Default Sunset Handheld (How-to)

These shots were taken last night at Deer Creek State Park in Central Ohio. I took all three shots in "Shutter Priority" mode, at .006 or 1/160th sec. exposure. At this speed, a tripod isn't necessary. My camera (Sony DSC-H1), sets the aperature automatically in any mode other than Aperature Priority, so it varies depending on available light. I did use (and highly recommend), a Circular Polarizing filter. (CP for short) It helps reduce glare and only slightly darkens the shot. Anyone needing other settings, may follow the links back to my Flickr page, to click on "More Properties". My camera isn't a DSLR (it's more of a Point and Shoot on steroids), so I'm not sure these settings will work for other peoples equipment. These settings are a good starting point. I was extremely pleased with the results.
