Hi All.... any suggestions on how to take a good photo of an ocean sunset? I am at staying at a resort overlooking looking the ocean and the sunsets are breathtaking.... I just can't figure out how to take a good one!!!! This is one area I have not explored yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....
I have a Nikon D40 with kit lenses and I also have a graduated ND filter... oh and a tripod.. thanks

IMO, I like to wait until the sun is over the horizon. Some of my better shots are 30 or 40 minutes past sunset. Otherwise the sun is an distracting hot spot on the photo.
But that's just my 2 cents.
