Default Yosemite-Half Dome

Well, I went to Yosemite this weekend, and my father and I did the Upper Yosemite falls trail. It was pretty tough, although me and my dad are slightly out of shape. 4 miles of 3500 ft gaining up hill fun...Altogether we did about 10 miles of hiking that day....some of the views were spectacular.

This picture was taken from Columbia Rock, which we arrived at after hiking just over 1 mile on the trail. Hope you all like it.

Pictures really dont do it any justice. It is really something I think everyone should witness for themselves.

Hi,

I think this photo is good but for bluish haze in the background. It would have turned out a lot better if it had been clicked early in the morning or evening.

or grab your self a polarizing filter or a graduated ND filter will help with the blue haze and blown out sky

You could also do some post processing work to make the background range more distinct (although you may, of course, want that slightly muted, distant look).

Remember that, as a photographer, the challenge is to take subjects that do the subjects justice and make the viewer want to see it for themselves (and I think your image is at least part of the way towards that ).
