Welcome, Mark -

My initial comment would be to suggest that you post the actual image you'd like critiqued, with EXIF data, rather than a link. Posting an acutal image seems to get more of response than posting just a link.

As to the photo itself, I'm a newbie, so please take this for what it's worth:

I know that construction sites are active places, with tons of activity, materials moved around, lunch pails left all over the place, etc.

If your intent was to document this particular stage of construction, then you've accomplished that goal.

But if you had a different goal, such as making the cool-looking metal facade (if that's what it is) your subject, then in my opinion there might be too many distractions in the photo - my eye bounces around from the scaffolding to the workers to the facade, etc. Maybe try the shot on the weekend, when no workers are around and you can maybe move some of the smaller items out of the way?

Exposure looks good, and the grey sky goes well with the other elements of the photo.

Best of luck in your new/second career! I look foward to seeing more of your work.

markhadden69, Welcome

I moved your thread here instead of deleting it.

Critique is a more involved look at images, and requires more information:

Critique Forum Rules

Give those a read, and feel free to repost in Critique with the guideline-listed information. This gives viewers a better idea of what went into the image's creation.
