Default Waterfall Photos

Hi everyone,

Recently I got to hike through some gorges in Ithaca, NY and saw some beautiful waterfalls. I am a sucker for a nice waterfall photo and thought it would be fun to see everyone else's favorite waterfall shots. Any advice on composition or technique would be helpful too. Here is a shot of mine that I though turned out well. The gorge was dark enough that I did not need a CPL or ND filter. I balanced the camera on a nearby rock bc I did not have a tripod handy.

Exif:
ISO: 100
Exposure: 1/2 sec
Aperture: f/16.0
Focal Length: 28mm

Lovely shot. you have captured the silkiness of the water beautifully.

Asd far as composition goes I'd like to see where the water is coming from

Default Watkins Glen?

Very nice shot dpsteak. Is it Watkins Glen? I can't wait to visit there again now that I have my DSLR! I hope to come away with shots as nice as yours.

I'll contribute. I believe this one is called Charlie's Falls, in the Chinquapin area of western North Carolina (just east of Cashiers). Taken summer 2007.

Is this the fall at the bottom that feeds the swimming area? I've been there but not seen this perspective - will definitely need to visit Treman again!

You have some very nice shots in your gallery too.
