Default Praha Sunset

I've been experimenting with HDR photography for a while now and I think I finally nailed a good one. I hope everyone likes this one from Prague, CR. It was a 6 second exposure at f/8 on my Tamron lens that I just bought before the trip. I now love this lens despite the loud noise it makes when it focuses. Tripods are a must for HDR!

Excellent, excellent HDR! I love all the purple hues, and HDR works so well with night photography . . .

This is just a beautiful shot. I love that you can see so much detail on the buildings!

Gorgeous and inspiring. I haven't really done any hdr, but upon every example, I'm pulled more towards an attempt. What you have done is great.

Default how and with what?

So when I ventured out the first day I was in Prague I went scouting, which really really does help a lot for forming your shots and making sure that you get every picture you want in. So I scouted first and then taking these shots I usually try and get the minimum aperature that I can get out of the timer in my camera so whatever makes a 30 sec. exposure at a +/- 2 shutter stops. So I'll take my 20D and AEB it to the +/- 1&2 in order to get 6 exposures(but I only use 5 since the 6th is a double of the 0 exposure). Then I'll take these into Photomatix which I got from StuckinCustoms' tutorial(because he gives a discount). Then I'll brush it up with some more photoshop just in case I need more defined edges and making sure the sky isn't too pixel-y. And that's about it.

I took this with my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 lens which I got just for that trip. I think it was at 29mm.

I love this photo. The purple and greens are absolutely amazing together.

What is HDR? Does that stand for high digital resolution?
