Hi there,
I have a question about shooting in dappled light. (I've got to say that I'm a complete novice who just wants to take better snapshots...no DSLR here, unfortunately! Maybe that would make the difference...) I was out on a hike and wanted to capture some of the spring green light through the tree leaves, but instead got some not-so-hot shots that just sort of seemed busy. Lots of light and dark, but the pretty green light was lost. Any hints? Do I use the metering more selectively? Or do I use a particular ISO or aperture, or...? I'm just grasping at straws, here. Here's an example: flickr pic The tree trunks are too dark and the leaves are lost. Is there anything a point & shooter can do? (I can switch it up to fully manual but the settings are limited, of course.) Thanks in advance for any help y'all can offer. I'm really enjoying this site! Jen |
