Does the B&W work for this one? Or was it better this way?

Yep both are in black and white to me and I can't tell much of difference but then again I'm black and white blind.

I like the first one - the "colors" are more established. And yes, both pics are in B/W for me.

Sometimes I think Picassa is a little too easy...I think that's why you ended up with two photos in B&W...you tweaked, and it updated instead of adding another copy.

Meanwhile....B&W shot is pretty awesome. Nice and crisp, great contrast.
