Default filters and lens hood

I have been reading up on polarizing and ND filters and would like to begin experimenting with both. I always use my lens hood when taking photos, 1. for lens protection and 2. I was told that it helps with light reaching the lens and causing glare. Should I still be using the lens hood after placing a polarizing or ND filter on the lens? I know it would be tough to rotate the polarizer, but the lens hood is an important tool as well. Would love to hear what you do when you use the filters for landscape photos. Lens hood or no hood?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

With a CPL or Variable/Grad ND I will generally leave the hood off unless I'm having issues the hood might help with. If it's going to be a long exposure with the ND I would put the hood on once the ND is set.

I always use a lens hood. Where necessary I drill a hole in the side of the lens hood to allow adjusting the CPL on VND. I have a special lens hood for use with the holder I use with my grads.

For every rule there are exceptions. My exception is when using ultra-wide lenses where their use might vignette the image.

Thanks for the replies. I knew a hood was important, but wasn't sure how to rotate the polarizing filter if the hood is on.

It is possible to put your finger into the lens hood and use your fingernail to rotate it
