Hi
I intend to shoot pictures from the Euromast in Rotterdam at night. I want to concentrate mainly on taking pictures of the Erasmus Bridge. The distance between Euromast & Erasmus is 700M. I have a Canon 50D with 18-200MM Lens. Usually I would shoot pictures in Manual mode. Keeping the distance in mind, can anyone please let me know what other settings should I choose? Thanks |

This intro tute (on DPS) to shooting cityscapes at night should give you a good starting point for exposure settings.
Night Photography:1 - Cityscapes. This dimensional field of view calculator (just scroll down) may give you an idea of what focal length to use - if you know your subject dimensions. http://www.tawbaware.com/maxlyons/calc.htm
