Default Flowery Outlook

I took this shot while we were on a road trip up the west coast of Tasmania. I really liked the way The flowers are in focus and the rest of the landscape is blurred.

What do you think?

Good use of depth of field to enhance perspective. Did you try cropping either side so that the focus is even more concentrated rather than split between the right and left sides? Nice work!

maybe framed by the flowers only.. get rid of the twigs on the left..

like the DOF.. makes the mountain look more distant and dreamy

Hi clockdoc and candleman, thanks for your comments and suggestions. No I hadn't cropped.

Now that you have pointed it out though I have had a look at some cropping and came up with the following crop. I also had a play in photoshop and made it into a triptych. Let me know what you think.

I like the first one, the flowers look like a natural frame and the mountain gives a dreamy effect to the picture. Nice job!

Nice shot, I like the one with the 3 framed shots.

I think both of those work better than the first. I particularly like the triptych rendition. Thanks for posting the variations.

My preference would either be theone with just the flowers or the framed one.
