Default Sycamore falls?

This is Sycamore falls. Unfotunatly the shot was taken in the summer. Here in AZ it can get pretty dry in the summer. Especially in a drought.

Neat area to photograph, unfortunatly; the exposure is way over exposed.

those are difficult shots to meter; bright and really dark areas combined. You should try bracketing.

On really bright days like these its pretty hard to get a decent exposure! next time try to take two shots one with the EV set at -1 and other one at 0 or something along those line...

Default bright light

I have just returned from a photography trip in southern Arizona. I found the light so bright, especially in the middle of the day that I worked with the exposure compensation at anything from minus .3 to minus 1. Most of the landscape shots I took were pretty well exposed at those settings. It certainly is a beautiful state and I hope to go to a different area the next time.
