Default Canon wide angle lens

I am new and simply dont know too much but enjoy what I do
I have a few lens that I am happy with but belive that I need a wide angle lens for landscapes
I will be buying 2nd hand as a new one is likely to cost too much for me to justify.
What would you suggest I look at please?
is the any that are likely to be beyond my basic skills that I should avoid.
Help is very welcome please
Cheers

I would be looking at the 10/12-22/24 zooms.
I have a Tokina 12-24 F4 and I am happy with it, although I believe there may be better alternatives, like Canon/Tamron/Tokina, out there now..

Using them is pretty similar to a standard zooms except the perspective "distortion" can be a lot more evident atwider angles and closer subject distance.

First of all, sell off every single one of those filters except for your best polarizers and ~possibly~ a 10-stop ND. Never know when those are going to come in handy.

Then, sell off that 75-300. You already have a zoom in there, and the 75-300 is just excess weight. Literally. Same with the 17-85 and kit lens (18-55). If your zooms are overlapping by quite a lot, you've got too much glass. Take that money, sell off some blood, and get the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L. It can be had for about $750US, but it's well worth the price.

Once you go L, you never go back. Or something like that.
