IMO, you did a great job on the water "Flow" effect. The only thing I would wish for was more sunlight. Even without perfect lighting, this image is a wall hanger. You should be proud.

i find the plants distracting to be honest. maybe zooming in on just the bridge and the water will improve it (using the rule of thirds)? great work on the flowing effect though.

Yeah you should probably get in closer (as is always a good advice), and perhaps from somewhere further on the right. That way you could possibly get more of the tiny tree into the picture as well.
It is a very good first attempt! The shutter value is just right. You really do need a tripod for these kind of shuts. I never found an ideal shutter value for moving water, but start around 1/4 sec. Take several shots with several shutter values. It is just so hard to predict what works. |

I agree with wijew that the plants are distracting. I feel like the concentration is more on the plants than the waterfall.

yea i agree getting closer and i'd also try to get lower to photograph it, it doesn't look oversharpened to me but i don't understand why you would have had any motion blur as slow of a shutter speed as you were using i'd have to say you were using a tripod to take this
