Default Spring is in the Air

Spring at Filoli Gardens

I'm creating my first post, so please forgive any gaffs as I learn how to do this.

This photo was taken at Filoli Gardens, a historic estate 30 miles south of San Francisco.

Enjoy.

Default nothing really grabs me

You need to 'work it'. try different angles. what about a macro? see if you zoom in on a bee or ant crawling on it - something. take a look at how others approach a similar subject.

i love the blue of the sky against the green of the leaves. Maybe get a little closer to the flowers (if possible) but good job :-)

I actually like the contrast in this photo, I like that blue sky, as for what to do different try getting closer up like others have said, Photograph this bush on a overcast or rainy day keeping the sky out of the picture. Just my opinion! Enjoy!

I agree
The angle is not adequate for me
The colors/lighting is good..the object (the flowers) is beautiful.

Regards

Beautiful day, great subject, don't settle for one shot. I'm sure if you took half an hour around this whole thing you could come up with a whole set of really great photos

for this particular photo, i like the composition but i don't like that most of the flowers are in shadow. would have been better to shoot them in the light instead of against it.
