Default Bulb..Long exposure shot.

This is the 1st time I tried bulb with my new D300. I like to hear from you guys. what do you think.

I think you did a good job...chose a great subject and might have gotten just the right amount of time to expose the shot....maybe a few seconds more might have captured a bit more movement in the sky but then again might have shown too much.
I like the shot as it...
I still need to get out and try a nice long exposure shot.....

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure how long to let the shutter open for this. open to long got overexpose open too short end up underexpose.

fantastic! I cant wait for my D300 it arrives friday!!! i personally might have moved the frame a little lower to the ground to have the tree fill the top a bit more (like you did in your horizontal shot). could you post the exif? i would be interested in seeing your settings.

all I can say...Fantastic camera!

I think you can view the exif data from my flickr under image more properties.

For this shot, I shoot using setting: f16 at 133 sec exposure ISO200, manual mode using bulb. cable release and ND filter + polarizer.

isnt that combination the makeshift variable ND filter?
