Thanks!

Now that I have looked at it again, I realize it could be a label for a perfume or something. lol

I think it might add some tension if there was a drop that was about to drop off the curved "hook" in the lower left corner.

So, we've covered landscape shots w/o compelling subjects, B&W shots, churches and now macro shots of water. Anything else missing in this thread?

All elements of an interesting landscape! lol

That hook is a little feeler coming off a vine that is trying to take over the front of my house. I just liked the way the light was bouncing off the raindrops against the gray sky. What makes a macro?

@Michael_2010

Forgetting the marketing hype a true macro is generally regarded as a 1:1 recording of an object.

IE: If an object is 22mm long and it is recorded on the film or sensor as 22mm then it is a macro.

(1) Probably a true macro. I was shooting at the minimum, or close to it, focussing distance of a true macro lens.

Home for a spider.
Camera Canon EOS 350D Digital
Exposure 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture f/29.0
Focal Length 100 mm
ISO Speed 100
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash On, Fired

(2) A marketing Macro.
In actual fact it is an extreme close up taken in "Macro" mode on a P&S camera.
In our garden today (1)
Camera Canon PowerShot G11
Exposure 0.004 sec (1/250)
Aperture f/4.0
Focal Length 15.7 mm
ISO Speed 400
Exposure Bias -2/3 EV
Flash Off, Did not fire .

Whoa! That spider is creepy!

Thanks Richard, I get cha. My vine is not a macro. I just zoomed in as tight as I could and then cropped it out of the original frame. You really have this macro stuff down. I have viewed many of your examples on flickr and some of them are down right breathtaking.
