^^Agree. Somewhat odd of him to start off mentioning that linear polarizers interfere with autofocus systems (which is the real issue) and then the rest of his post talks about the effect on metering.

If you read the article properly you will notice that the autofocus and metering share the beam splitter,( 1/2 Mirror) in a Dslr-so results to auto focus/metering are both negligeable. In fact,stacking of circular and linear polarizers is recommended for certain situations.

The only time stacking linear polarizers is in any way a good thing is if you're using them as a variable ND filter. Other than that they mess with metering and essentially eliminate autofocus.
