Default Going To Japan - Rented the 24-105

And now I'm having second thoughts. I shoot with a 450D (Xsi) so with the 1.6x crop, that shortens it on the wide end, apparently.

I can't afford to rent two lenses, so I had to pick one. Based on what I read here and elsewhere, the 24-105 seemed like the ultimate vacation lens. But not I think the renters remorse is setting in and telling me I should have just stayed with my kit lens and rented a wide angle instead.

So I basically need you guys to tell me I made the right decision. I did, right?

Oh I am. I'm going to take both. But I'm wondering if I shouldn't have rented a wide angle instead of the 24-105 to take as a companion with the kit.

I wouldn't have rented a wide angle. I think the 24-105 should be fine. Personally, I would've tried to get a 28-135mm or something along those lines.

Haha. I guess I'll know for next time. I'll see how this goes, and worst case scenario, I'll just use my kit lens for the 'wide' shots. Hopefully it'll work out for the best.

Thanks for the help, though.
