Default Lightning over a bridge

After reading the previous post and the replies on taking lightning photos, I thought i would add a photo i took a while back. I wanted to take a photo of lightning but with something else in the shot as well. Because there was a lot of light around could not use bulb or a long exposure, so set up on tripod with cable for shutter and a very quick finger and fired the camera as soon as the lightning struck

Why would you post a link to a private account?

I had already put it on my flickr site some time back as colour. I have only just reprocessed it as B&W to use for an internal competition with a camera club i'm in, so i was just a little unsure about making it public. I have now changed it.

It is a good shot and I realize a difficult shot to capture. It is well done and the black and white gives it great drama. My only comment is the left side first light pole with that three sided light stancheon detracts from the photo. Cropping would not work but I may have cloned that part out. Just a thought.

Thanks for your reply and idea. I gave it a go and liked how it simplified the lines in the photo. I have now submitted the photo to be judged, won't find out if they like it till next month, but thanks.
