Default IR Black & White

Turned my Wife's shot of today from spring time to winter using the IR black and white option in PS. Before and after fun. Thanks for viewing

That looks really cool.
I've never seen this in photoshop before.

Thanks Mitch...it's in CS3, and assumed to be in other and newer versions. Find it under: Image>Adjustments>Black and White...IR is one of several filter menu options you can choose from. Thanks for your comments

Here's how I do it in CS:

Ctrl+J
New Adjustment layer-Channel Mixer
Check "Monochrome"
Set red channel to +100
Set green channel to +200
Set blue channel to -200
Set constant to 28
Click "OK"
Flatten
Image>Mode>Greyscale
Save

regards, Ken

I like Vinnie's version better...the sky is more dramatic.

Ken, that's a fine black and white if I wanted a straight B/W, but it doesn't have the same winter look to it as the converter IR one does. The IR version actually looks like snow or frost, but was shot this Spring. In the IR conversion, all the color channels are there and can be tweaked to your liking

That too.

I think it's a really cool effect.
