Default Get rid of the glare

I don't know how to get rid of the glare from the sun.

This is the first time I post a thread in here, I hope I did it right.

Other than the road being blown out, I actually like the sun flare. Looks good.

What were your camera settings when you shot this?

SS 1/125, ISO 100, 18mm, f/11, shot in Auto mode (pulled using Opanda IExif)

I love the sunflares - and the lovely starbust effect. The starburst is from shooting at a smaller aperture.

If you want to avoid the flares, use a lens hood and don't include the sun in your photos.

If you want to get rid of those white disks over the mountains, you could use the clone tool on Photoshop to wipe it out. There should be a thread in here somewhere on how to do that.
Cheers!

Maybe I should include the dirty snow in the photo?

Thanks Susan. The flares looked like dust to me.

Default Winter glare

I don't know how long you have been pictures, but I think that your image is not too bad. I purposfully shoot into the sun precisly to get the glare that you have. There are some other technical problems with your image, but the flare is not one of them. If I can get this "download" thing to work I'll send along one of my winter images...Chris

Tinwhistle, thanks for the feedback. Now, what other techniques you think I might need to know? Please let me know since I'm just a beginner. I started with a Powershot SX110, then got a T1I last month, now they said the T2i just came out. But that's not the most important, the most important for me is to get familiar with the speed and the light.
