Happy shooting to all, and wait for the next lightning bolts to strike and share it with the rest. chriskey, I do understand that UK weather seldom have lightning strike, I hardly remember any lightning when I studied in UK. But I enjoyed the snow

All fantastic shots. I love to see your lightning shots. We get very few storms in the UK and certainly none as exciting as the shots you are sharing. They must be difficult to take but well done to all of you .

It's a pity that you don't get many storms over there but something you have (as mentioned above) that we don't get here in South Africa is snow! Check out this link for some amazing ideas for snow photography:

This was on a dawn shoot. 1/2 hour before sunrise (which we never saw because of the clouds & rin) we were treated to quite a lightning display out to sea.

Previously I haven't tried taking snaps of lightning, my daughter was 5 years old on that time she inspired me to take and I did it...

Thanks Jason! Shot 2 was another too close for comfort strike lol it blinded me for a few seconds and then I ran to my camera and saw if it caught it and to my surprise!
