Default Old Man's Cave, Hocking Hills

We finally got a little snow here in Ohio, so I hit the Hocking Hills for some photos. This scene should be familiar to anyone who's been there -- it's the upper falls at Old Man's Cave, viewed from below (of course).

LOL! Thanks, and for the record, I'd take a dose of those boring ol' mountains any time!

Here's a view a little further downstream, later in the day (when the sun had come out).

Nice. Try it with some really long exposures.

Love that first one.

We went there on our honeymoon, but there was a drought that year. We really want to go back, but we just haven't been able to make it work.

Thanks for sharing.

Great picture , I am planning a trip down there in the early spring to get a lay of the land. Hope I can get a few nice shots too.

Thanks - a couple years ago, we had a good, long cold snap and the ice formations were pretty spectacular. Some of the "little" waterfalls built up 20-30 ft. icicles with giant ice mounds down below them, and the falls at Cedar Falls had frozen solid on the outside, with the water running down through the middle like a giant straw. Here's the same falls from the first photo back in 2010:

Nice capture!
It takes a lot of cold to stop gravity and water ,well we certainly don't have that problem this year. I haven't even taken my camera out in the snow yet.

Yeah, not a great year for winter photography. There's a handful of nice falls up by you, too, aren't there?
