Question New to photography! Would love any critique at this point =)

Personally at this point with my photography knowledge, beginner , I think this is a great picture...I think it captures some mood and "quietness"...Wondering if others feel the same way?!?! What about the colors? is it to plain?? Not enough depth?? Like I said, I'm still learning =)

DSC_0023

I'm not sure why there is a border - I didn't put it there with photoshop or anything...lol

Hello and welcome to DPS,

I can see why you enjoy this photo, I think it does have a sort of calming mood. I wonder how it would look like with more contrast to make the clouds stand out more.

I agree. It does have a very calm, serene mood to it. If you could boost the exposure on the tree I think it will add a great deal to the image. I really like the fog in the background. I also really like the grass. The other thing that crossed my mind was that I'd like to see more of the tree, because right now part of it is cut off. Great shot! Keep 'em coming.

A successful photograph, I think maybe a little more color?

Agree with leviathan, a bit of exposure recovery plus contrast specially on the tree will probably make this picture even more pleasant.
